The fluttering high-end hooks and tribal cadence of ‘Aventuras’ and ‘Chant D’Ombres’ recall the spiritual grooves of Jamal Moss and Torn Hawk, nodding to Afro-latin-centric and Native American memes, whereas ‘Medusa’ jacks up a freakier, hypnotic Midwest machine sound comparable with certain Woody McBride bits, and ‘Airplanes’ lends some balance with warm, chiming chords and shuffled groove for a more introvert as opposed to cosmic effect.
